Day 1. Book yourself into The Lighthouse Bakery School in Bodiam which offers a diverse range of exciting one-day courses that will get you startedmaking fabulous breads. Each course will give you the experience of working with a variety of doughs and you will take with you the skills and confidence to make fantastic looking, great-tasting bread at home. In the afternoon take a walk across to Bodiam Castle and enjoy your days labour with a picnic on a blanket watching the sun set over one of England’s most beautiful moated castles
Day 2. Need to learn how to cook like a TV Chef? Richard Phillips at Chapel Down boasts a state of the art kitchen and is located five minutes from Tenterden and is set in the idyllic surroundings of the Chapel Down vineyard. The new format Cookery Schools give options to novice cooks right through to more experienced chefs. Combine the day with a tour of Tenteden Vineyard to learn exactly what wine will be the best accompaniment to your new found skills
Day 3. Sarah Raven, the well known gardening expert, writer and journalist and lover of good food spends her time between homes at Sissinghurst Castle and her farmhouse near Burwash. She runs her garden and cookery school at nearby Burwash Common. Courses are run throughout the year on a wide range of garden and food related subjects, and the garden is open to the public several times a year.
